Fun Friday Challenge #112 – Get Well Card

Welcome to my Fun Day Friday Challenge!  This week’s theme is Anything Goes.  I hope you will join us for this fun topic and submit a project.  Our sponsor this week is Bugaboo.  I chose stamp BUG151077, Wishing You Well.  I have a friend who has been in and out of the hospital a lot in the last few years.  I saw this stamp and just knew that I had to use it to create a Get Well card for her.

To create the card:

1. I cut a 5″x 7″ piece of cardstock and folded it in half.
2. I selected 3 matching pieces of patterned paper.  I often use paper scraps left over from other scrapbooking projects for my cards.  The top and bottom pieces of paper are the same pattern cut in thicker  1.5″ strips.  The inside strips are from one double sided 1″ strip.
3. I adhered the strips down.
4. I printed the digital image on Crafter’s Companion White Ultra Smooth Premium Cardstock.
5. I colored the image using the Spectrum Noir alcohol markers.
6. I cut out the image and inked the edge with a brown chalk ink.
