Welcome to my blog and today’s Fun Friday Challenge.  This week our sponsor’s are Bugaboo Stamps and Robin’s Fetish.  To accent pictures of my niece first learning to dance, I chose the Robbin’s Fetish image Ava Dancing.

Movement & Balance

Movement & Balance

My niece started taking Dance Class just before her 4th birthday 5 years ago.  At that age it is all about movement and balance.

Ava dancing tag

To create the tag for this layout I did the following:

  1. I cut 2 copies of a tag from a file created by Monica Bjork in 2014.
  2. I colored the tag using the following Distress Ink colors:
    Inked tag

    1. Tattered Rose
    2. Shabby Shutters
    3. Festive Berry
  3. The image I printed onto Crafter’s Companion White Ultra Smooth Premium Cardstock.
  4. I colored the image using Spectrum Noir Alcohol Markers with the

    following color combinations:

    1. Skin:  FS1, FS3, FS5, FS8
    2. Dress:  PP3, BP1, PL2
    3. Shoes:  IG3, IG8
    4. Hair:  GB8, GB10, EB7
    5. Bow:  CG1, CG4, GB3
    6. Outlined:  BT3
  5. On the tag itself I used the stencil Mini Butterfly Collage to create the layers.
  6. Stenciled Tag

Using the hexagon pattern I stenciled it onto the tag using Brushed Corduroy Distress Ink.  Then, using the smaller butterfly pattern I stenciled the pattern onto the tag using Dusty Concord Distress Ink.

  7. Lastly  I adhered cut out the colored image and adhered it to the tag, adhering the tag onto the layout.

The layout itself I created with 5 patterned papers, cut using the Kiwi Lane template system.  This is one page of a two-page layout, which is why you may not yet see a title or any journaling.

I hope that you enjoy the tag and layout I created as much as I did.  Please let me know if you are trying these techniques and the results of your efforts.  I can’t wait to see what you create!
