It has been 3 weeks today since my Dad’s surgery. His recovery still consumes much of my time. He has made a tremendous amount of progress and is working hard in rehab.
Father’s Day
I want to share this layout with you. It is of my family celebrating Father’s Day several years ago. It is the usual gathering of my immediate family just being together and loving each other. I am reminded of how special these times are.
The main photo is double matted, the inner mat created with glossy photo paper and alcohol inks.
The title is a series of diamonds folded over thread with letters spelling out Father’s Day. I added a lot of space for the ” ‘s” so as not to cut off the faces in the photo. The diamonds and letters were cut using my Blue Wishblade. The thread is anchored to the back through eyelets.
I used 2 different patterned paper and 2 different colors of cardstock. The main photo is matted on the striped pattern paper and maroon cardstock. The secondary set of photos, or the smaller ones, are on a blue patterned paper and a light blue cardstock.
